Omeka

We will be discussing Omeka as an exhibit tool, how to add items and curate exhibits.  We plan to use some photos and info from the Parkland neighborhood to illustrate our discussion.

Using GIS in History

The presentation will open with a brief description of GIS and how it can be used by diverse historians. Following, we will discuss our particular historical mapping project, incorporating GIS, dealing with the history of white flight and economic decline in the West End.

Mapping with Prezi

Our group plans to explore the possibilities of using Prezi as a mapping tool. We seek to present the stories from the 1968 uprising using oral histories and visual aids while pinpointing on the map where they occurred.

THATCamp Lou announced!

We are excited to announce that on Friday April 3, THATCamp Louisville will take place on the UofL campus. The occasion is an opportunity for Louisville-area cultural organizations to interact and co-learn with graduate students enrolled in Lara Kelland’s digital history course. We are sure it will be a fun and educational time had by all.
